The company is run by Jack Whittles, who has a M.Sc. in Geology. I have worked with the BC Geological Survey, mining companies, and since 1997 in Forestry for many clients.
Most of my work involves hiking through forested areas that are to be roaded and harvested, or helicopter yarded. I assess the ground in terms of geology, surficial materials, soils, hydrology, plants, and history of landslides. My field review helps to determine if an area can be harvested or to what extent it can be harvested.
